Donna Haraway: Story Telling for Earthly Survival
Welcome to a movie screening of Donna Haraway: Story Telling for Earthly Survival, arranged by Stockholms Kvinnohistoriska (Stockholm Museum of Women’s History) together with Mossutställningar.
The film is created by Brussels filmmaker Fabrizio Terranova who visited philosopher, feminist, and science-fiction enthusiast Donna Haraway at her home in California. By almost literally living with Haraway for a few weeks, filmmaker Terranova produced this quirky film portrait of a woman who refuses to distinguish between humans, animals and machines. Terranova allowed Haraway to speak in her own environment, using attractive staging that emphasised the playful, cerebral sensitivity of the scientist. The result is a rare, candid, intellectual portrait of a highly original thinker.
Runtime: 81 minutes.
Language: English – no subtitles.
The movie screening is free of charge and a part of the art programme Artistic Undressings of the Royal Seaport by Mossutställningar. Read more about the programme here.
